What We Believe

The Bible

We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, and infallible Word of God. It is the supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct. The Bible is the center of Christian unity, and Jesus Christ is the focus of all Scripture.

God

We believe in one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is the Creator, Redeemer, and Sustainer of all things. He is infinite in holiness, power, and knowledge and is worthy of our highest love and obedience.

Jesus Christ

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His atoning death on the cross, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return in power and glory. He is true God and true man, and provides the only way humanity may be right with God.

Baptism & Lord’s Supper

We believe in the ordinances of believer’s baptism by immersion and the Lord’s Supper as acts of obedience and symbols of our faith. Baptism symbolizes the believer’s identification with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection, representing a Christ-follower’s death to sin, burial of the old life, and resurrection to a new life in Christ. In the Lord’s Supper, the church remembers Christ’s sacrifice and anticipate His return.

Salvation

We believe that salvation is a gift of God’s grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ alone. Salvation involves repentance, a turning from sin to God, and is evidenced by a life of growing holiness.

Christian Living

We believe it is the duty and privilege of every Christ-follower and every church to preach the gospel and make disciples of all nations. Christians are called to a life of holiness, characterized by love, compassion, integrity, and service. We strive to live out our faith in our homes, workplaces, and communities, demonstrating the love of Christ to all. We believe a life well-lived is a powerful witness to the goodness of God.

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit is the fully divine Spirit of God. He indwells every believer, empowering them for godly living and service. The Spirit inspired the Scriptures, helps people understand truth, comforts God’s people, and bestows spiritual gifts for the edification of the church.

The Church

We believe in the universal church, a living spiritual body of which Christ is the Head and all regenerated persons are members. We believe in the local church as a visible expression of Christ's body, committed to worship, fellowship, discipleship, ministry, and mission. The church observes the Lord’s Supper and Baptism as ordained by Jesus Christ, and the local church is a group of believers united through baptism and fellowship of the gospel.
