Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Matthew 28: 19-20

  • Every week our Village family collects dried rice and beans, canned goods, and adult sanitary products to provide for impoverished believers near the Texas/Mexico border. Our volunteers deliver these donated items to our missionary frineds in Eagle Pass who take the much-needed supplies across the border into Mexico.

Through this effort, Village has donated nearly 10,000 pounds of food for hungry families who are struggling to make ends meet. These donations help provide our missionary friends opportunities to share the gospel with families and entire villages in Mexico.

If you'd like to help, please bring dried rice and beans,

canned goods, and adult sanitary products to the church office.

If you'd like to help even more, join our delivery team!

For more information, please contact the church office.

  • Each year at Christmas, our Village Family collects gifts for delivery to children across the border as an extension of our Mission of Hope. Throught this program, over 150 children receive small toys, toiletries, Spanish language Bibles, and art supplies. In 2022 our Village Family also donated over 100 stuffed animals, nearly 100 soccer balls, and nearly 100 Barbie dolls for these children to enjoy.

Our volunteers deliver these gifts to our missionary friends in Eagle Pass who take these items to their mission across the border. Through their mission, our missionary friends have planted over 50 churches in the Villages of Mexico.

Our Village Family is glad to be a part of this annual outreach.

  • What is the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering?

The offering was started in 1895 by Woman's Missionary Union® (WMU) to benefit the work of the Home Mission Board (now North American Mission Board). In 1934, it was named in honor of Annie Armstrong, a bold missions advocate and WMU's first national executive leader. Today, more than $2 billion has been donated by Southern Baptist churches and individuals to support thousands of missionaries in church planting and compassion ministries. Because of this sacrificial giving, millions of lives have been and continue to be transformed by the power of the gospel.

    Where Does Your Money Go?

Every gift to the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering – 100 percent – goes to train, resource and send thousands of missionaries involved in church planting and compassion ministries across the United States, Canada and their territories. Our partnership with Southern Baptist Convention churches and individuals makes this work possible.

  • Dr. Alekcey Murillo and his wife, Dr. Judith Dunteman, have established a medical clinic in the jungles of Costa Rica. Their work is with the Cabecar Indians, an indigenous group who live on several thousand acres of land in the Chirripo Mountains of Costa Rica.

Numerous teams from Village Parkway Baptist Church have traveled over the years to the jungles of Costa Rica to help with  building projects, Vacation Bible School (VBS) at the Cabecar school, micro lending projects, just to name a few of the projects we have led or been part of. It has been the desire of Alekcey and Judith to have people from Village Parkway return on a regular basis to maintain an ongoing relationship with the people of the community and the Cabecar Indians.

Though COVID-19 travel restrictions temporarily suspended our efforst in person, the work in Costa Rica continues, and the mission there continues to thrive. Through our micro-lending mission, people in the area are prospering. The dental clinic has expanded. Small groups continue the work in Costa Rica and our Village family plans to return to Costa Rica soon.
